Together these are the "Services." By using any of the Services you consent to the practices described in this policy. Where a practice differs between products, we label it "Website & web app" or "Android app (GISFORUS Field)" so it is clear which product it applies to.
GISFORUS is a no-code Google Earth Engine "Spatial Research Suite" for spatial and remote-sensing research. This policy covers the gisforus.com website, the web app at app.gisforus.com, and the GISFORUS Field Android app (com.gisforus.app). It describes what information each product does and does not collect, how that information is used, who it is shared with, and the choices and rights available to you.
The GISFORUS Field app has no account and no login. We do not ask for, and the app does not collect, your name, email address, or any sign-in credentials.
Website & web appCookies are small files placed on your device that help the Site function and help us and our partners understand how the Site is used. We use cookies for core functionality and for analytics, and our advertising partners use cookies to serve and measure ads. In particular, we use Google AdSense, and third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies or to alert you when cookies are set; some parts of the Site may not function properly without them. The GISFORUS Field Android app does not use browser cookies.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this Site and/or other sites, and Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve personalised ads. You may opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info/choices.
Android app (GISFORUS Field)These providers process data under their own terms. For details on how Google collects and uses data, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Android app (GISFORUS Field)The app relies on the Android Advertising ID for advertising to free users. You can reset the Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation at any time in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most devices). For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request the required advertising consent before ads are served, in line with Google's EU user consent requirements. Purchasing Pro removes ads and the associated use of the Advertising ID for ad serving.

Information collected through the Site (for example, a message you send via the contact form, and technical/analytics data) is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and is then deleted or anonymised.
Android app (GISFORUS Field)Because the app stores your tool inputs locally on your device, that data is under your control: you can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. Advertising and diagnostics handled by Google are retained under Google's own policies.

The Services are intended for a professional and academic audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of personalised advertising (see Sections 4 and 5). Under the EU/UK GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; under the California CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of "sale/share," and we do not sell your personal information.
